Obradovich: Branstad in Sigourney: I've been here
Former Gov. Terry Branstad attracted about 30 people today at a campaign stop at the Copper Lantern, a homey little restaurant just off the square in Sigourney.
One woman told me she turned out because “we don’t get many politicians here.” So the former governor was a draw.
Branstad, who says he’ll visit all 99 counties on his campaign tour, as he did each of his 16 years as governor, is using all the travel to his advantage. He mentioned the last few times he’d been in town. “I was reminded I was introduced on the courthouse steps here in the ’90s and I was also here when Dura-Last made the decision to locate here and I understand they’re still thriving,” he said…full post HERE!
