SCENES FROM THE TRAIL: Southern Hills Winery
Our stop in Osceola today was at the Southern Hills Winery. Here is some info they provide:
“The Iowa Wine Cooperative a blend of several local vineyard owners and community-minded investors. We share a passion for wine and hospitality, and dreamed of opening our own collective winery. In 2006, we formed Southern Hills Winery to offer new friends quality wines made from our carefully tended vineyards….”
In recent years, dozens and dozens of wineries have emerged in Iowa – great for local economic development.
Plus, this is the 40th county on the Iowa Comeback Tour!
